Yogesh Gosavi, the director of forthcoming Marathi film Gadbal Gondhal, feels that there’s a need to check the increased inflow of technicians in Marathi film industry. “Those who have nothing to do with creativity are growing in large numbers in the industry. Many of them are incompetent to work as technicians and therefore it must be ensured that they don’t cheat producers and filmmakers,” he cautioned.

Yogesh, who earlier directed Marathi film Pratisaad and many documentaries and commercials, is ready with Gadbal Gondhal starring Santosh Juvekar. “It’s a family-oriented film with a lovestory-to-marriage as its backdrop. The film focuses on family values, the disappearing culture of joint families, problems of generation gap between family members and the changing thought process. We have Santosh and Smita playing the lead roles in the film,” Yogesh informed.

A big fan of Basu Bhattacharya and Hrishikesh Mukherji, Yogesh believes that audiences are now looking for family entertainers. Kaak-sparsh, Jhakaas, Jogwa and Mi Sindhutai Sapkal are among his favourite Marathi films while he likes Anand Abhyankar, Ankush Choudhary, Siddharth Jadhav, Amruta Khanvilkar and Tejaswini Pandit among actors.
