Sairat wins two awards at Lucas International Film Festival

Nagraj Manjule’s Sairat has won two prestigious awards at the Lucas International Film Festival held in Frankfurt (Germany) from 18 to 25 September 2016. The first mega-blockbuster of Marathi cinema and the only Marathi feature film in the 100-Crore club, Sairat won ‘Special Mention – Best Feature Film’ and ‘Audience Choice Award’ in the 39th edition of the renowned festival.

Produced by Nitin Keni, Nikhil Sane and Nagraj Manjule under the banners of Zee Studio and Aatpat Production; Sairat will be soon remade is Tamil, Telugu, Malyalam and Kannada languages. The film’s cast includes Rinku Rajguru, Akash Thosar, Tanaji Galgunde, Arbaz Shaikh, Chhaya Kadam, Suraj Pawar, Suresh Vishwakarma, Geeta Chavan and Anuja Muley.

The film’s music has been composed by Ajay-Atul, cinematography by Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti and it has been edited by Kutub Inamdar.
