NCPA to host Marathi Natya Utsav from August 2

The National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) Mumbai is organizing a Marathi Drama Festival titled ‘Pratibimb’ from August 2 to 6 at the NCPA Experimental Theatre at Nariman Point in Mumbai. Six contemporary Marathi plays will be staged during the festival.

Theatre group Awishkar’s production Dream Society, written by Shafat Khan and directed by Pradeep Mulye, will be staged on Friday August 2 at 6.30 pm. The play stars Mangesh Kadam, Deepak Damle, Parag Bedekar, Vikrant Kolpe, Vishal Raut, Sunil Ranade and others.

Astitva’s Mele Undir, Deelip Jagtap and directed by Abhijeet Zunjarrao, will be staged on Saturday August 3 at 6.30 pm. The play stars N Ashtaputre, S Magar, M Shinde, R Shirsat, R Ghadi, R More, P Katke and others.

Natak Company Pune’s two productions will be staged on Sunday August 4. Shivacharaitra Aani Ek, written by Dr Sadanand More and Dharmakirti Suman and directed by Aalok Rajwade, will be staged at 3 pm. The play stars Sunil Sukathankar, Sachin Patil, Sayalee Pathak, Virat Madke, Pushkaraj Chirputkar, Prayag Varpe, Laxmi Birajdar, Prajakta Salbarde, Vivek Kyadal, Ketan Visal, Vishal Barnale, Avinash Sakpal, Ruturaj Shinde and others.

Ek Diwas Mathakade, written by Satish Alekar and directed by Nipun Dharmadhikari, will be staged on Sunday August 4 at 6.30 pm. The play stars Girish Kulkarni, Amey Wagh and Parna Pethe.

StagePlayers Theatre’s Khoon Karaychay, written by Sameer Garud and directed by Rohan Gujar and Amey Borkar, will be staged on Monday August 5 at 6.30 pm. The play stars Rohan Gujar and Amey Borkar.

Theatre Space Baramati’s In Meen Teen, written by Praveen Bhole and directed by Aniruddha Khutwad, will be staged on Tuesday August 6 at 6.30 pm. The play stars Aniket Pandkar, Jayesh Shevalkar, Manasi Karandikar, Sanjeev Kolhatkar and Vivek Pandkar.
