Sobat Sangat is probably the only new Marathi play to have its launching on a foreign land. A joint production of Aishwarya Arts and Theatres and Vedant Media and Entertainment, Sobat Sangat was launched in Dubai recently and its show in India started from October 18 this year.

A debut venture of Sampada Joglekar Kulkarni as writer-director, Sobat Sangat is a first-of-its-kind play in Marathi as four different stories are interlink each other at a point, a concept experimented in films so far. Sampada Joglekar Kulkarni had started her theatre career as an actress with Devendra Pem’s popular laugh-riot All The Best.

Sampada is also acting in Sobat Sangat along with Aishwarya Narkar and Avinash Narkar, the two actors, who are also producing the play. It becomes an appreciable effort on part of the makers as they are offering a fresh play to the Marathi audience rather than going with the recent trend of remaking old plays.
