Known for producing content-driven films, Navalakha Arts and Holy Basil Productions (NAHB) are soon going to treat their audiences with a suspense-thriller titled Rakshas. The film, produced by Nilesh Navalakha and Vivek Kajaria, is currently in its production stage.

Written and directed by Dnyanesh Zoting, Marathi film Rakshas is a suspense-thriller that tells the story of a family. Actors Sharad Kelkar and Sai Tamhankar are working together in a film for the first time. After playing villain in Lai Bhaari, Sharad will be seen as protagonist in Rakshas. Child actor Rutuja Deshpande is also playing a prominent role in the film.

Rakshas is already in news even before it went on floors as its script was selected for the Drishyam Sundance Writers’ Lab the previous year.

Navalakha Arts and Holy Basil Productions (NAHB) has so far produced nine feature films and has given the industry some of the promising filmmakers, including Nagraj Manjule (Fandry), Sujay Dahake (Shala) and Vivek Wagh (Siddhant). Apart from Rakshas, NAHB is also producing upcoming Marathi films Chaurya and Ek Number.
